Keyboards king Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra will play an open air concert after racing.

The 90-minute set will get underway around 9.15pm once the evening's horse racing has finished. The entertainment will then be rounded off with a spectacular fireworks display set to music.

Gates will open at 3.00 pm and there will be a whole host of entertainment throughout the afternoon before racing commences at 7.00 pm. There will be children's entertainment (bouncy castles, face painting, climbing walls etc), the CFM Radio roadshow and some music sets by local bands.

All three elements - horse racing, live music and fireworks – are included in the ticket price!

The Liverpool ONE Pageant of Power runs from 22 – 29 May, with the city-wide event taking place on the evening of 25 May.
As a curtain raiser to the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power, Cheshire, an awesome JCB GT Dragster will be joining the race and rally cars, motorbikes, power boats and jet ski's that will converge on the Strand, Liverpool on the evening of Tuesday, 25th May.

The main event, starting at 7pm, will be two and a half hours of frantic, noisy demonstrations on land, sea and air when the roads will be closed to normal traffic from 6pm. A selection of the world's finest vehicles will sprint up The Strand, including Le Mans winning Jaguar, Bentley and Maserati cars; a collection of modern supercars from Lamborghini and Ferrari as well as the latest models from Cholmondeley's founding sponsor, Bentley. Two wheel heroes Neil Tuxworth and 12 time TT winner Charlie Williams will be on hand with modern and classic racing motorcycles.

Complementing the Liverpool Pageant of Power is a week-long programme of dynamic events and exciting activities at Liverpool ONE.

Between 22-29 May, attractions for kids and big kids alike, include a climbing wall, inflatable assault course and paintball range on Chavasse Park, as well as flight simulators, Aprilia bikes and F1 virtual driver games. The Ministry of Defence will also be exhibiting throughout the week to money for Help for Heroes as well as hosting displays and demonstrations

 

Eddie Stobart will be attending Truckfest in Peterborough on the 2-3 May and the event is looking set to be one of the best yet. We plan to bring along some special trucks to the event so make sure you come and meet the team.


We will also have our large merchandise unit at the show and this will be the first time you’ll be able to purchase the new 40th Anniversary Merchandise Range – and who knows, maybe even William Stobart and Andrew Tinkler will pop along to sign some of your merchandise products – what could be better than a new 40th t-shirt signed by William…
